私わたしたちは、食たべるためばかりでなく、便べん利りで快かい適てきな生せい活かつを送おくるため、知しらず知しらずのうちに多おおくの生いき物ものの命いのちを奪うばっています。しかしこのことは、日にち常じょう生せい活かつのなかで実感じっかんとしてもつことはすくないでしょう。人ひとが生いき物ものの命いのちの尊とうとさをわかるには、逆ぎゃく説せつ的てきになる（注1）かもしれませんが、生いき物ものの命いのちをあやめている（注2）という「実感じっかん」をもたなければならないでしょう。そうした過か程ていを経へなければ、いのちの尊とうとさなどということはわからないのではないでしょうか。
